LPS Socket Set Screws made from high grade alloy steel, flat socket set screws are used where parts must be frequently re-set, as it causes little or no damage to part it bears against. Can be used against hardened shafts (usually with ground flat for better contact) and as adjusting screw. Preferred for thin wall thickness and on soft plugs. Holding power of screws can be increased by increasing seating torque, vibration resistance can be achieved by correct size and proper tightening.
